Judee Shipman, often listed among the top 50 female players in the United States, has been playing tournament chess for over 30 years. She teaches after-school chess workshops throughout the San Francisco Bay area and frequently gives private lessons by phone. Judee currently lives in Contra Costa County with her daughter Clare.
